John Stones – The sensational English defender has been regularly appearing in the most trending transfer lists in the last two years. Starting from Chelsea’s ‘open’ talks with the player, almost all the top European clubs have been interested or at least linked with the player. And now, it is Pep Guardiola and Manchester City are the most likely destination for the Everton defender according to various sources.
Pep Guardiola has just joined Manchester City after his contract with Bayern Munich is over where he won back to back Bundesliga titles and number of other honours. The Spaniard is expected to splash the cash to fix his already existing squad, and he did not disappoint the fans. Pep Guardiola signed former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Iikay Gundogan for a deal worth £21m as his first Manchester City signing. Manchester City are also linked with Tiago Alcantara of Bayern Munich, but there are reports that Bayern has a clause with Guardiola that can prevent the deal.

John Stones is one of the first players to linked with Manchester City as soon as Pep Guardiola took the reins at the Etihad. Earlier it is reported that the Citizens have agreed on a deal with Everton around £50m which will mark a record fee spent for a defender in English Premier League’s history. But, nothing like that has happened, at least not reported officially. It all came and went as a rumour.
The recent reports claim that John Stones has given green signal to City talks and is reportedly agreed on a contract with Manchester City. Yet again, there is no official words have been spoken.
