Arsene Wenger to spend £150m in the summer

YES, you read it right ! Arsene Wenger was handed a £150 million transfer kitty to spend in the summer transfer window, thanks to the new Television Deal signed by the Premier League. Wenger who is known for nurturing youth talents and spend very less in the transfers is under pressure for a silverware which is now forcing the Legendary French man to release some funds on transfers.

Arsenal have lost their Golden chance to win their first Engish Premier League crown in a decade as Leicester City won the title with two games to be played. The Foxes were fighting a relegation battle last season and before that they were playing the Championship. 2015 Champions Chelsea, title favorites Manchester City, luxurious Manchester United, all have lost their plot in the early stages of the season and Arsenal were given a clear shot to win the EPL title that they desperately want.

Tottenham Hotspurs, Arsenal’s fierce local rivals took the second place beneath the Champions Leicester City and Arsenal were left to fight for a Top 4 finish (as usual). Arsenal fans can not take this shock at the end of the season as they were all in full hopes in the beginning stages that they are going to have their best gift. Arsenal were also knocked out from the Capital One Cup, The FA Cup and from the Champions League as well leaving the fans in dismay. The Gunners showed their anger on the manager, jeering his name, Arsene Wenger even received ‘death wishes’ from Arsenal fans.

Wenger is looking to refine his team and wants to earn the Arsenal fans’ belief that he lost. As a first step, Wenger is ready to spend as much as £150 million and he has identified his targets as well. Robert Lewandowski is the first name on Wenger’s list who would cost around £50 million. Wenger is also interested in signing a new centre-back, a holding midfielder and a winger in the summer transfer window.
