Manchester United are once again linked with the Welsh international who is reportedly willing to join the English Premier League. The Red Devils are probably the only team who can offer such huge transfer money, but the player’s intentions to play for the BIGGEST clubs may play a role in the deal. Gareth Bale wants a return to England, reports El Confidential.
Gareth Bale, the superfast Real Madrid winger has just won the UEFA Champions League with the Spanish giants, his second European title in the last three seasons with Real Madrid. After joining the Los Blancos for a world record fee, the pressure on Gareth Bale mounted to sky level which discomforted the player to some extent. But the former Spurs star adjusted himself very well and proved his critics wrong by his performances on the pitch. Gareth Bale is arguably Real Madrid’s best attacking player on the pitch this season, playing a vital role in the semi-finals and in the final of UEFA Champions League.
Although Bale is very happy at Spain, it is alleged that the Welsh man can not get along with team’s talismanic forward Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese had some misunderstandings with the former Spurs man quite a number of times in the past and they do not usually look eye-to-eye on the pitch. The famous BBC (Benzema – Bale – Cristiano) has amazing stats this season as well, but they were not as lethal as they could be. The main reason is, they lack that cohesion to work as a ‘team’.
Ronaldo’s desire to score all goals by himself is renown and he is not yet ready to give up his crown to his successor. Bale was signed to succeed Cristiano Ronaldo. Manchester UNited’s new boss Jose Mourinho is a big admirer of the Welsh man and is eyeing a joint with the player as he looks to revive his and the club’s lost pride. Mourinho suffered a catastrophic season with Chelsea last season which eventually saw him sacked. Meanwhile, United are under serious pressure to deliver some silverwares.
Gareth Bale can help United and Jose Mourinho to achieve what they desperately want, but Real Madrid will not lose one of their best-paid players that easily. Also, this rumour may end as just a rumour which has been the case in the last years for Manchester United. They failed to acquire more half of their targets in the last two transfer windows which is making the deal even more complicated.
