Ryan Giggs a better option than Jose Mourinho

Rene Meulensteen, the former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson’s right-hand man says Manchester United Legendary player Ryan Giggs is a better option to take the club forward than the former Chelsea and Real Madrid Coach Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese is reportedly all set to replace Louis van Gaal at the Old Trafford once the United hierarchy decides to fire the Dutch manager. But Meulensteen, Ferguson’s assistant coach has voiced his support for Ryan Giggs. Jose Mourinho may not know the tradition of the club and may fail at the Theatre of Dreams, he added.

Ren Meulensteen- Sir Alex Ferguson

“People say that Ryan has no managerial experience but the one thing they forget is that he might not be the finished article but he has more experience of Manchester United than many of the coaches that could come in. That is a big plus for him.”

“He knows the identity of the club and has been part of a successful at the club for a long, long time. He would know what it takes to get United back to where they belong,” told Meulensteen.

The former assistant coach also added that Jose Mourinho is not the right man to bring the old Glory days of Manchester United back. Meulensteen believes Mourinho should have replaced Sir Alex Ferguson directly back in 2013 if he is the right man to do the job.
“It’s not a secret that he would like the job and he’s been a very successful manager in England and across Europe but does he know what it takes to make United like it was under Sir Alex Ferguson? I’m not so sure because then you have to wonder why he didn’t succeed Sir Alex Ferguson.”
Also, Ryan Giggs has the support of a set of United fans who do not like Jose Mourinho to manage the club, they think the Portuguese may affect the club’s harmony and fears his ego clashes will bring more harm to United than good. They were right in their thinking since Mourinho has made a mess with his dressing room in a number of occasions, but one can not question his ability to win things. Despite all these oppositions, Mourinho is the leading contender to secure the Manchester United’s manager job and most probably will replace Louis van Gaal after the FA cup final.
