Real Madrid want Jose Mourinho back
Real Madrid want Jose Mourinho back at the Santiago Bernabeu if current manager Zinedine Zidane fails to reach the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is not impressed by Zidane’s performances this season after the French man taking over reigns from Rafael Benitez.
Jose Mourinho, the so-called ‘Special One’ is the best coach available in the market as the Portuguese were sacked by Chelsea in the mid-season after a very poor season with the Blues. Mourinho has never had such disappointment of results in his career, but he is still regarded as the finest ‘winning’ coach on the football field.
Real Madrid and Florentino Perez have always had good impressions on the Portuguese tactician whom they sacked after a fall-out with club senior players back in 2013. A similar fall out with the Chelsea squad cost Mourinho his Chelsea job once again this season, but Real Madrid do not care about all that as they are now desperate for victories and Mourinho is the best in getting them the results.
In his previous stint at the Santiago Bernabeu, Mourinho made several changes to the squad and built a strong base. He reclaimed the La Liga title from Barcelone who are enjoying the best’test of form in the last couple of decades. Since Mourinho’s title-winning campaign, none of Real Madrid’s managers were able to win La Liga which is the major reason why Real Madrid are still interested in Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho is wanted by a number of big clubs around Europe, but it will be extremely difficult for him to say NO to a club like Real Madrid who can offer him anything he wants. Also, Mourinho has a deep band with Real Madrid which may tempt him to re-join the club he left back in 2013.
