Portuguese International and former Manchester United winger Nani could be set to rejoin the Red Devils with several reports in Turkey suggesting that United Officials have travelled to Turkey to discuss a deal with Fenerbahce.
The Portuguese International signed for the Red Devils back in 2007 for a fee of €25.5 million under Sir Alex Ferguson. He spent seven seasons at united before moving to Sporting Lisbon on loan. He then completed a permanent transfer back to Fenerbahce last summer.
If several reports are to be believed then the new Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is interested in signing his fellow Portuguese winger. Jose Mourinho is famed for acquiring wingers who are versatile, strong and hard working such as Willian who was a favourite of Mourinho at Chelsea.
Nani has a release clause of £6.3 million and at that price, Mourinho believes that the Portuguese Intermational is more than worth the investment. He surely is. Nani has experience of playing for one of the world’s best teams and has played World Cups, Euro Championships for Portugal. Though he is not the same ‘old’ Nani, his experience and skills are more than good for a team like United who are constructing a ‘new’ team. Also, the price tag on the player is very much low if his potentials are to be considered.
In his first season at Fenerbahce, Nani has netted 12 goals and provided 13 assists in 47 appearances in all competeitions. The Turkish league is one of the fast evolving leagues and the stats Nani has is worth mentioning.
Reports also suggest that the Nani has agreed terms with United if a deal was to be struck between two clubs. The Portuguese made his final appearance for the club back in August 2014 in a 2-1 home defeat to Swansea. But he might not have played his last game for United if these latest transfer rumors are happening in real.
