Liverpool join the race to sign N’Golo Kante from Leicester City who is already chased by English Premier League sides Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City, and Chelsea. The Merseysiders are ready to activate the £22 million release clause of the player which is reportedly matched by Manchester United also.
EPL CLUBS BATTLE FOR N’GOLO KANTE
The French international is with his national team to participate in the ongoing Euro 2016 Championship that is being hosted by France. N’Golo Kante earned a straight starting XI berth in the France national team without being played a single minute wearing the Blue jersey of France, thanks to his blistering Leicester City performances. Kante’s importance to Leicester is not gone unnoticed as the Foxes are ready to extend the player’s contract with a boosted salary package.
Arsene Wenger, a manager known for scouting the talents and who praises players very rarely once said:
I admire and like N’Golo Kante a lot – he gives you ideas. He gives you the feeling that the higher the level he plays at, the more at ease he is. We are talking about numbers. He has the most interceptions in Europe. He has incredible quality. He feels the game, only very few people can do that. He’s always where he needs to be. It is very rare to have that in the central midfielder. Not always orthodox, but always in the right place.
Not just Arsene Wenger, Manchester United’s new boss Jose Mourinho is also a big admirer of the French international and is using all his powers to lure Kante to the Old Trafford. Jurgen Klopp is the other big boss who is chasing behind the midfield engine. When three of the most famous managers in the world chase you, you should know how worthy you are.
If Kante can continue his brilliant form in the coming years, then he is undoubtedly a big addition to all of the big teams chasing him. But at first, he should leave the Foxes camp and the manager who made a big name for him, Claudio Ranieri.
