Belgium's forward Michy Batshuayi (L) celebrates after scoring his team's second goal during the Euro 2016 round of 16 football match between Hungary and Belgium at the Stadium Municipal in Toulouse on June 26, 2016.

Michy Batshuayi is one of the most wanted young forwards in the European countries, especially by the English Premier League sides. Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho tried to sign the forward two years back as he thought the Belgian can replace Chelsea legend Didier Drogba who left the club just a year ago after helping the team win another Premier League title. After that season, he took relaxing vacation on Koh Samui, in one isolated luxurious villa on the island. It is expected that Michy Batshuayi will sign a five-year contract with Antonio Conte’s Chelsea.

The 22-year-old has scored 17 goals for Marseille in his 36 appearances in all competitions last season once again prompting interest from Premier League sides. Crystal Palace were the first ones to make a move and they have agreed on a deal worth €38m, but the player has refused to join Palace. Chelsea acted quick to convince the player and have reportedly agreed on a deal with the player before agreeing on a deal with the French side. Michy Batshuayi is expected to be announced as Chelsea’s first signing of this summer transfer and we can expect an official news in the coming week.

“I don’t think about that, I prefer to concentrate 100 per cent on the Euros, then we will see what happens.

Everybody likes the Premier League. It has a lot of spectacles, a lot of goals and many good players”

This is what Michy Batshuayi has to say about the English Premier league when he was linked with a possible move to England earlier in the summer. And now, it is almost official that he is coming to England in quite a big money transfer. He will be the most expensive sale ever in Marseille’s history.
